- Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing. Conducted polygraphs under contract with the Michigan Department of Corrections on parolees that have been convicted of sexual crimes.
March 2015 to September 23, 2019 Retirement:
- Detective First Lieutenant, Polygraph Section Commander, Michigan State Police, Biometrics and Identification Division. Responsible for statewide supervision of the Michigan State Police Polygraph Section. Oversight of statewide section testing and review of over 4,000 issue specific exams. Estimated >75% of cases were Criminal Sexual Conduct exams. Hired and trained 7 of the 10 state police examiners currently in the polygraph section. Conducted polygraphs on major criminal sexual conduct cases and homicides. Requested to peer review polygraphs for many private examiners and local law enforcement agencies to ensure standards are preserved.
January-March 2015:
- Lieutenant in Professional Standards Section, Internal Affairs. Third District Investigator, Michigan State Police, Office of the Director. Responsible for investigations to ensure the highest standards of the Michigan State Police. Investigated incidents of complaints against members, crashes and uses of force my Michigan State Police members.
July 2013-Jan 2015:
- Detective Sergeant, Polygraph Examiner, Saginaw Major Case Unit Michigan State Police Biometrics and Identification Division. Conducted Polygraph examinations and assisted on major investigations as requested. Conducted exams for federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in a 13 county area.
July 2012-13:
- Detective Sergeant, Homicide Saginaw Major Case Task Force: Detective selected to begin and develop the Saginaw Major Case Unit in the city of Saginaw. Multi-Jurisdictional task force to investigate and reduce homicides in the city of Saginaw. Numerous homicide and major case investigations and confessions.
August 2010:
- Flint Serial Killer Task Force, 2010. Active investigative member of the Flint Serial Killer task force led by the Michigan State Police. I was selected to fly to Atlanta to interview and interrogate the serial killer who was detained during his escape.
April 2007 to 2012:
- Polygraph Examiner/Detective Sergeant, Bay City Post: Assisted on major case investigations and supervised post troopers investigations. Also provided polygraph services for felony cases during this assignment. Assisted troopers with investigations, interviews, and case review of all felony complaints.

- Detective Sergeant, Polygraph Examiner, Midland Office: Over 1,000 Felony interviews conducted during seven years as a polygraph examiner. Frequently requested to interview suspects and to assist in major investigations for the Michigan State Police and other agencies.

- Detective Sergeant, Fingerprint Examiner and Crime Scene Investigator, Bridgeport Laboratory responsible for crime scene investigations and process items for forensic evidence. Receive property from areas police departments and process for fingerprint analysis.
January 1995 to June 1998:
- Trooper, Ionia and Mt. Pleasant Post, Responsible for investigation of criminal complaints and traffic enforcement in assigned patrol areas.
